The Khalifa Award for Education is an International Education Award founded in the United Arab Emirates. The Award is intended to enhance the educational sector within the UAE, and throughout the Arab world at large, by honouring the distinguished efforts of educators in the various fields of teaching and specialised education.
Speaking at the Award presentation ceremony, Dr. Gillian West, Director at OxEd & Assessment said, “I’m pleased to collect this award on behalf of the whole team behind NELI Preschool at OxEd & Assessment. As a University of Oxford spinout company research is at the core of every solution we create and we ensure rigorous evaluation of the impact our solutions have on children’s learning outcomes, to have this recognised by the judges at the Khalifa Award is such an honour.”
NELI Preschool is a new oral language enrichment and intervention programme for children in the year before they enter formal education – usually three to four year olds. The programme provides a 20-week evidence-based language intervention for all children, as well as additional targeted support for the children who need it the most.
