OxEd & Assessment Partners with Ministry of Education and Science in Paraguay

OxEd & Assessment partners with Ministry of Education and Science in Paraguay to build strong oral language skills in their schools country-wide with the TEL Ted Program.

We’re pleased to announce a new partnership with the Ministry of Education and Sciences in Paraguay (MEC) to deliver the TEL Ted Program to schools country-wide.  The partnership will upskill teachers across Paraguay in the importance of oral language through high-quality professional development and provide them with the tools and activities to build strong oral language skills in their classrooms. The MEC selected OxEd & Assessment for this partnership due to the strong evidence base behind the TEL Ted Program and our experience adapting the program to different cultural contexts.

As part of this partnership, all elements of the TEL Ted Program (or Programa NELI) will be provided to educators in Paraguayan Spanish. Furthermore, recognizing the importance of accurately identifying language delays in a bilingual country, LanguageScreen will be adapted to both Paraguayan Spanish and Guarani. These program adaptations will be completed in collaboration with Paraguayan artists and other local talent.

OxEd will also be recruiting a local team to support schools in every department of Paraguay with in-person professional development and support with implementing the program.
