OxEd founder Prof. Charles Hulme announced finalist of EdTech Leadership Awards

Charles Hulme, OxEd CEO, named a finalist at the EdTech Leadership Awards 2025 for his contributions to education technology and for his efforts towards making a meaningful impact in education.

Prof. Charles Hulme was named a finalist at the EdTech Leadership Awards 2025 for his contributions to education technology as Founder and CEO of OxEd & Assessment. The EdTech Awards honour leaders transforming education through technology to enrich the lives of learners everywhere.

The future of learning is being shaped right now, and those we honour here are leading the way,” said Editor-in-Chief of EdTech Digest Victor Rivero. When congratulating the honourees, Rivero highlighted the importance of the ‘relentless pursuit of a future where technology isn’t just a tool—but a catalyst for real, meaningful impact.’

As CEO of OxEd, Prof. Charles Hulme leads efforts to help educators identify language delays and support all students on their journey to reading comprehension and literacy. OxEd sees technology as integral to this goal; LanguageScreen, a digital assessment developed out of decades of research, provides schools with a quick, school-based method of measuring students’ oral language skills in less than ten minutes per child. With this universal screener, OxEd aims to make technology a tool for positive change in education.
